My first priority is my clients’ and visitors’ safety, so I have undertaken a thorough review of the procedures necessary for my studio space to minimise the risk of transmitting Covid-19. This has been done using the government’s guidelines and advice booklet: ‘Keeping workers and customers safe during Covid-19 in shops and branches – Covid-19 secure guidance for employers, employees and the self-employed’ (last updated 15th October 2020).
A Covid risk assessment has been carried out and this will be updated based on government guidelines are updated. A copy of my risk assessment can be found here.
In line with government guidance, visitors to the studio are by appointment only, and all visitors to the studio are asked to read the following procedural document ahead of their appointment.
Thank you for taking the time to read these and for keeping people and communities safe.
If you have any questions about either document, or feel that I have missed something, please get in touch!
Most Importantly
If you or anyone in your household are experiencing any of the three main symptoms of Covid-19 as identified by the NHS, please do not attend your appointment. These are:
- a high temperature – this means you feel hot to the touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)
- a new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)
- a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste – this means you’ve noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal
If you have one or more of these symptoms, please self-isolate in line with current guidance and seek a Covid-19 test if possible. I will happily rebook your appointment!
Rule of Six
Current regulations in England state that people are not permitted to meet up in groups of greater than six. Although Covid-secure workplaces are technically exempt, it is a grey area for photographic studios. Erring on the side of caution, I have decided to limit group shots to a maximum of six, unless your immediate household is more than six people. To accommodate larger, extended family groups, I am breaking shoots up by households. At the very least, these restrictions will serve as a reminder to everyone of 2020!
Thank you for your understanding and looking out for our wider community.
